Isaac Brumaghim
Home Base: Hawaiian Islands
Favorite kayak and why: The Prowler Trident 15 has been my kayak of choice since 2006, it has the platform and hull capacity to carry all the equipment I may need for a day of big game fishing and the rod pod provides easy and quick access to my fish bag filled with ice. The hull design is still one of the more Hawaiian-waters friendly kayaks built, but it takes a polished angler to handle a fully equipped Trident 15 in rough seas and heavy winds.
Other gear used and why: Shimano Tallus poles for spinning and conventional reels, Talica 25 2spd, Power Pro, J-Line, Aquahunters hats, shirts and jerseys.
About Isaac: Born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands, Isaac Brumaghim aka Rocket formed Aquahunters in 2005, a small kayak fishing club out of the island of Oahu. With its successful online tournament "Makahiki" Aquahunters has proudly gathered the greatest collection of Big Game kayak lawai'a (fishermen) in the world and put them on one stage. After four seasons of Makahiki fishing Hawaii is well established as the Mecca of the sport, boasting 9 kayak fishing world records. The online forum is the gathering spot for the kayak fishing community of all the islands here is where safety is our first priority. It has also become the bible for the development of our future generations of kayak angling enthusiast in a way that is eco and culturally responsible in Hawaii.

With his background is athletics and canoe racing combined with his ultra competitive nature the Rocket is a perennial contender for any Hawaii kayak fishing tournament. His success as both an ambassador and as a competitor is unrivaled. But, of all the fishing accomplishments Isaac has attained it is his work in building a great water sport in Hawaii and his legacy of joining Hawaii's elite waterman that makes him proudest.
