Gary Bulla
Home Towns: Ojai, California/ La Ventana, Baja Sur, Mexico
Favorite Ocean Kayak and why:Prowler 13 in Baja and off Southern California because I need a dozen of them for my clients, and not only do they load and stack nicely-they are versatile fishing machines. They get us around quickly, even in the wind and chop. They are maneuverable in the mangroves and elsewhere and work great as a clean flyfishing platform. Tridents will be the next upgrade.
Other gear used: Sage Fly Rods, Rio and AirFlow lines, Patagonia Storm Front Hip Pack (fishing gear)and Sub Divider (photo gear), Surf to Summit seats, Carlisle paddles, and Humminbird fish finders.
About Gary: I guide groups on all inclusive Kayak fishing expeditions to the islands of the Southern Gulf of California and Magdalena Bay in Baja. I also work with The Nature Conservancy at Santa Cruz Island guiding kayak flyfishing and spin fishing.Photography is an important part of the way I spend my time in Baja, Belize and anywhere else.
